Ophthalmic Lasers

Eastern Ophthalmic Supply & Repair (EOSR) is proud to add Meridian Lasers to our quality line of products. Historically aligned with Haag-Streit, a brand synonymous with high quality, Meridian brings premium components and superior build quality to the product.

Meridian Ophthalmic Lasers

Meridian Lasers come from Meridian Medical, Swiss-based precision optics company established in 1937. They introduced the first commercial ophthalmic Nd:YAG laser, creating the category in 1982. They are the original creator of the Q-switch found in all high intensity nanosecond pulse lasers. They are a world leader manufacturer of reliable, premium quality, high performance, laser cavities.

While continuing to support and distribute the high-quality instruments and equipment our customers rely on, this expansion reflects EOSR’s ongoing commitment to offering innovative, effective solutions in eye care.

With the same dedication to quality, personalized service, and attention to detail that define EOSR, we are partnering with leading experts in laser technology. This advanced technology is now available locally, ensuring that practitioners have access to the best tools for patient care.

Meridian Lasers

Meridian Lasers are used to treat conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration by precisely targeting blood vessels or tissue.  Lasers are used to seal retinal tears and to prevent further progression of a detachment.  They are employed to treat macular edema by targeting and sealing leaking blood vessels in the macula.
